Cameron Schaerfl Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

FINRA,

A little bit of background:
I am self taught in the domain of investment finance. The extent of formal financial education were a handful of economics classes and an accounting class in college. Year to Day, I am beating the S&P500 in my self-directed brokerage account because I taught myself how financial markets work with various resources publicly available.

My comment:
I as a free individual with capital at my disposal have the ability to decide for myself what risks are tolerable when purchasing public investment instruments.

Leveraged and inverse funds are important part of my investment strategies. I believe in long term dividend holdings and use leverage and inverse funds to help protect portions of my investments. I shouldn't have to go through any specialized processes like taking a test or proving my investment knowledge.
I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds along with there risks.

I want my Freedom to invest as I see fit, without restrictions to my ROTH IRA, other than current law. I've been taking Professional Classes for 20 Years from Professional Trainers, Traders, and Market Analysis Firms. I am more than qualified to use Inverse and Leveraged ETF's. I'm retired and generate some additional income income to live off by doing this, so its essential I be able to continue. I have complete confidence and years of experience at this.

Regulating inverse funds is another assault on the individual investor. It is hard enough to compete against large funds and billionaires but taking away the advantage of inverse ETFs which do not require the investor to hold a margin account is an assault on freedom. In addition, the fess saved from not have to pay to borrow stocks are another way to hurt the little guy. Inverse and leverage funds are not hard to understand as opposed to option strategies. Are you going to regulate that next?
