The investors should have the right to learn about and invest in leveraged and inverse funds. These funds can be useful to use as "hedges" during certain market periods and these funds can be a very useful tool to support other long term investments. There is no need for investors who choose to invest in these funds to take any exams or go through any special steps. Many investment ETF funds can be risky and can cause for losses just like leveraged and inverse funds.
I'm very concerned about the actions of preparing this regulation that FINRA is trying to threat the freedom of investment. I highly want to keep my rights as an individual investor of leveraged etf.
Why would my public investment choices need regulated? Public investments should be available to all the public, without qualification or privilege. A test to purchase a PUBLIC security? Really? That's ridiculous and sounds like government heavy handed tactics to favor the rich. I don't need to take a test to be able to make my own choices for public investments!! Leveraged and inverse funds are important to me and while they can be volatile, I don't need regulators restricting my choices. Please don't restrict ability to choose public investments.
Please do not reduce our opportunity to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. We need a full range of options to invest in this diverse world. Thank you!
I would to like to be able to invest freely without no restrictions.
I prefer not going thru special process to choose where I can & should invest or not. I would like to keep my ability to invest in funds of my choice.
Investing in stocks, real estate and any other legally available forms should not be restricted to retail investors only. The individual should be restricting his/her own according to his risk and benefit. If the government limits the access to leveraged and inverse funds to only the retail investors, it creates an unfair field,
Need my right to buy levered and inverse. I can manage my assets better than dumb portfolio managers.
I oppose the change to retail investors having access to leveraged ETFs. FINRA should have no say in deciding if I use these instruments when they are available to the broader market and institutions. It is my responsibility understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks.
