Doing this would be hurt our economy
I do not want my investment decisions regulated or restricted in any way.
Banning traders from buying or trading these ETF's while they are already holding them would cause catastrophic damage to most traders who are currently in positions they cannot exit. This is something that needs MUCH more time to be considered a good plan.
I appose regulation of leveraged and invers funds as they are vital to my long term investment strategies, which allows for greater diversification and higher safe withdrawal rates which keep pace with inflation.
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I currently invest in the following:
Target Date Funds
Non-Traditional Index Funds (Smart Beta + ESG)
Emerging Market Funds
High Yield Bond Funds
Closed-end Funds
Commodity Funds
Cryptocurrency Funds
Unconstrained Bond Funds
Floating-rate/Leveraged Loan Funds
Leveraged/Inverse Products
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment
strategies
I oppose any restrictions to my right to invest in any public investments. I am educated enough to understand the risk with leverage and inverse funds and I use it as hedge as a limited part of my overall portfolio. I make such decision - and not regulators - to make right investments for myself and my family without any imposed restrictions.
Why don't you regulate Congress and the Fed Board's ability to trade off their own policies before you worry about me.
I'm concerned that I won't be able to increase my family's ability to invest in 2x, 3x, and even 4x funds. They are about the only game in town for individual investors who don't want to mess with the games of options trading. They take no more time to learn to use than any other type of investing. AND, YES, I DO know what I'm talking about. I've been trading them for almost a decade. Have a taken some losses? of course. Same as with any type of investment. Please don't restrict the little guy's ability to have access to them. thank you.
