Leave leveraged ETF along its a risk and that is what the markets have always been about
Investors are already aware of the risk that these funds bring. Why limit access? If the goal is to prevent people from not understanding the consequences of their actions, create a warning that brokers must display before purchasing these kinds of investments - don't limit investors from access to funds we love!
Hello -
Im aware of the risks associated with investing in these kind of funds. No need to big brother me. Find something else to do.
People don't like paternalistic treatment. Putting a warning, link to educational material etc might be beneficial. But preventing everyone from the judicial use of these ETFs in their hedging is over reach
I strongly oppose restrictions against use of leveraged and or inverse products. Yes, some investors through irresponsible use can be harmed, but in a free society and market retail and institutional investors alike should be able to make their own decisions and accept responsibility for those decisions. Restrictions on use reduces investors ability to manage risk, reduces market place liquidity and price discovery as well as creates an undeveloped playing field for smaller retail investors who wish to manage their own money.
I have regularly invested in leveraged and inverse funds for years and I think it would be a terrible idea to regulate who can invest in these kinds of funds. I 100% oppose additional regulations on investing in these types of funds.
I am professionally qualified(with CFA and FRM certifications) with net worth over $2.5Million and have been trading leveraged ETFs for the past 3 years. My trading strategy requires me to trade such leveraged ETFs, without which I wouldn't know how to trade in the markets.
Therefore, I respectfully oppose any restrictions to my right to invest or trade in the leveraged ETFs.
I am not a child. Please do not treat me like one. I am perfectly capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I need the ability to hedge my investments, especially during times like these.
This is good way to trade market
Please dont limit the use of these products, they are the only way that many of us have to protect our hard earned investments.
