This is via BITO's form to spam FINRA.
Their fund, BITO, is down 40% since inception, which is a good case for keeping people from investing in cryptocurrencies. All but a few are Ponzi schemes. More aggressive prosecutions from the SEC would help.
I, not some government regulator, know what is a good and appropriate investment for me.
Thus restrictions on products to the less privileged (low net worth) but educated investors seems inappropriate and unconstitutional.
The over reach by our governing bodies has become a reach that is unprecedented and overbearing. All peoples wanting to invest should be given that right as a United States of America citizen.
Leveraged ETFs are important to my investment strategy and I fully understand the risk and mechanics behind them. The risks should be understood by investors but not strict guidelines on usage.
Please to not restrict the public's ability to invest in a broad array of securities. It is more important that information and risk be disclose than for an individual to be required to pass a "test" in order to invest.
May I remind you this is America, the land of personal freedoms. What's next if this passes? Mutual funds are too complex for the average investor? Actively managed funds outlawed, only passive investing in large indices is allowed? For God's Sake, don't impose restrictions that limit my use to enhance whatever index or sector I wish to enhance, just because there are mouth-breathers out there who don't put in the time to understand what they are investing in. This is outrageous!!
Stop the take over
We do not need big brother overseeing our decisions. I expect to be respected for my ability to make financial decisions. Leveraged and inverse funds are a very important part of a balanced portfolio.
Please let us invest in these funds.
