Douglas Shepherd Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Hello, Surely there are more direct ways to protect citizens that are not competent to invest their own money than interfering with normal activities of average investors. Leveraged and inverse funds are regulated public securities that are easier to understand than the average computer screen used by investors. They are a part of my everyday investment tactics and do not need any further restrictions.

Please, go ahead, ban what you want. That is EXACLY what people like me are hoping for and actually waiting for. The more you try to crack down on ANY fund, investment vehicle, etc., the more DECENTRALIZED this world WILL become. Do you have any clue what this means? This means your silly little power hungry organization that wants so desperately to hang on to the old system, will be crying when you are literally powerless to stop the avalanche of DECENTRALIZED systems that will be coming that you will NOT be able to stop. You cannot stop DECENTRALIZED. So by all means, be my guest.

To FINRA Regulators,

I oppose restrictions to my right to invest.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies, especially during periods like right now where the stock market is going down most of the time or theres much turmoil. I understand that leveraged and inverse funds and their risks but I have been trading them for months. Everything is fine.
I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me, NOT regulators.
Thank you.

I'm a retail type investor that very much like to use leveraged ETFs as part of my investing strategy. I strongly oppose any restrictions on leveraged ETFs for retail investors. I understand it is 100% my responsibility to understand the risk associated with any investment. I understand there is potential for losses if I invest in leveraged ETFs. I very much like having maximum flexibility in the choices I can make for my investment portfolio.

Leveraged and Inverse Funds allow for retail investors to hedge positions without having to invest in options with less liquid pricing. Please do not ban them.

Retail Investors are already disadvantaged by not being allowed to invest in hedge funds. With the market so overpriced due to PRISM sponsored companies trading at high multiples, and the potential of a rapid devaluation of the dollar, taking away these funds would be cruel.
