I use leveraged and inverse funds to balance out my portfolio. I am tired of the government taking my rights away so I can be protected. I am perfectly capable and do not need a test or any other type of scrutiny in order to invest in these types of funds. I do not want or need regulators to have input in the type of investments I make.
I prefer to buy and sell inverse etfs or funds. I'm aware of the risk and I'm okay with it.
Need to be able to invest using leveraged tools
As an individual investor, I should be free to choose which types of risks and investment strategies I want to use. While leveraged ETFs are more risky than some other types of investments, the same is true of regular equities compared to bonds, and options compared to equities, as commodities compared to precious metals compared to crypto currencies, and as a savings account compared to collectibles.
Everyone has their own strategy, knowledge, and risk tolerance that is unique to their own situation. Let people decide for themselves how they want to proceed.
Amateur investors cannot be protected from making mistakes through aggressive regulation. The only way to protect oneself from losses is education and experience. Leveraged ETFs are no more risky than some of the more volatile equities for which there are many.
We oppose restrictions and regulations that control or do not allow investments.
I am against this proposal, it is investors' right to choose any products they like.

As an investor I should be allowed to invest as I please. The two experiences Ive had with financial planners, both certified and one a fiduciary, were disastrous. I lost significant amounts of money. Whereas when I have chosen my investments myself, including leveraged and inverse ETFs I have done much better.
Dont take that opportunity from individuals such as myself.
I am aware of the risks involved with leveraged ETF's I do not need new measures imposed on me,
Thanks
