Please Mr. Government Officials stay out of my business. My Freedom of Choice is being violated if I cannot invest my money where I choose. I look at this proposal as another situation where big brothers are overstepping their bounds.
Don't change the law
Leveraged funds are important to my investing strategy and I oppose regulations to limit access to them. I understand the benefits and risks of leverage fund and have done substantial research prior to investing. Increasing regulations to retail investors will further uneven the playing field between the Wall Street and Main Street.
I can make sound judgements on the risk of leveraged ETFs I do not need regulators to regulate my investment strategies. Please leave us alone.
As an investor, I should not be limited in my right to purchase levered or inverse ETFs. These instruments can allow me to generate outsized returns under certain market environments and are a complementary hedging strategy. We live in a world where the dispersion of returns between ultra high net worth individuals and retail investors continues to get larger. Taking away a powerful tool from retail investors' toolkits is a step back with regard to improving the regulatory landscape.
Comments: To: FINRA,
Plain and simple, legislation that assumes 'average' people don't have the ability or intellect to invest their money wisely is condescending and patronizing and just bad policy. I can buy stocks, invest in 401Ks, etc. without having to do anything being proposed for crypto investments. Just because you don't understand it or fear it doesn't mean you need to regulate it for everyone else.
Can we still buy penny stocks? How could they not be worse? I am perfectly capable of gaining or losing money without being told where to do so. It's part of being an adult.
I am extremely angry that FINRA believes they must protect us poor idiots from investing because only elites like you have enough knowledge to invest. You will not always be in a place if power. Someday you will be subject to what younger people think of you. Do you really want to set this precedent?
