Glen Ellis Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I oppose the proposed regulations that would restrict my ability to invest in leverage or inverse mutual funds, or similarily Exchange Traded Funds. A legal investor should be able to purchase these securities once they have received or acknowled receiving the appropriate disclosure notifications. Additional testing or licensing should not be required of the investor. These instruments have a role that they can play for hedging during a volatile environment environment.

James Hogan Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I have a college degree in Business Administration. I have been very successful in investing in stocks, leveraged and inverse ETF's. About 85% of my investments are in leveraged and inverse ETF's. It's my money and the government should not tell me where to spend or invest it. Before the Government tells me how to manage my finances you should reduce/eliminate the national debt. Your track record is the worst on this planet!!

Sylvia Bravo Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I am not an expert in investments, but I understand how the stock market works. It is my decision to invest a part of my savings in the stock market, I think its one of the liberties of this beautiful country. Plus, I think I will gain more money in the long run than what the banks can offer me. Surely my money in the bank will lose value everyday with inflation. I hope these restrictions are not established, BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT!!!!!!!! Not just the privileged.

Mark Coetzer Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Under the current and long-standing disclosure-based system, I as an investor should have the right to decide which public equities, bonds and funds I want to buy. The newly announced changes suggested by FINRA will upend that principle, giving regulators and not me, the investor the decision making opportunity to decide what public securities I can and cannot invest in. This is not acceptable and should not be pursued.

Barry Phillips Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

The use of inverse and leveraged funds are a part of my investment strategy. Current regulations and requirements that are in place are proper and necessary. The brokerages are required to warn of the inherent risks as well as obtain written statements from clients that these risks are understood and accepted. LEAVE THINGS THE WAY THEY ARE. STOP TRYING TO SQUASH THE INDIVIDUAL INVESTOR. The ability to short in down markets is critical to an individual investor's success. How else can I hedge my portfolio in down markets?
