"I oppose restrictions to my right to invest"
As a small private investor, I am well aware of risks associated with the various vehicles available on the markets, including inverse funds and leveraged funds. While not core, these are tools that sometimes make sense, and they should not be placed behind barriers that inhibit or even prohibit my access to them. I do not require and do not welcome regulations that block my ability to implement strategies to protect my investments or even take advantage of special circumstances to enhance my earnings.
We should have a free market to buy and sell products. If the issue is with brokers and their practices, then deal with them specifically. People are capable of assessing risk and reward. Please do not shut down leveraged products as they can have incredible returns.
As GOD as my witness, I have the right to invest in any legal entity as I see fit and you should have no opinion or restrict my process in any way whatsoever to do so unless it is in defense of our Constitution.
To those of you who believe otherwise, you have no right under the constitutional laws of OUR GREAT COUNTRY to oppress us "WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" to further your power-hungry agendas.
Remember primaries are coming up!
The leveraged funds should NOT be regulated! These funds are FINALLY something the common man can invest in just like the rich people. Regulation would deny the common man from making investments that can typically only be made by the rich and only allow them to get richer. We should be able to think for ourselves regarding how we invest our money.
"I oppose restrictions to my right to invest"
I strongly disagree with this regulation.
Let us make our own investament choices
I am heavily invested in leveraged products as part of my long term investment plan. I am only invested in etfs or etns which reflect indexes or sectors that I am confident will go up over the long term. I am ok with regulators asking investors about income or experience level, but there shouldn't be any sort of ban on leveraged products. We are adults and should have the legal right to trade as we please, just as hedge funds do.
