Please let me manage my own investments. I am well advised.
In the darkest financial times that we have faced since the Great Recession, FINRA proposes to limit our ability to save ourselves through smart, principled investing. Negative inverse ETFs are about to be a godsend. Yes, they are risky investments. What else is risky? The Federal Reserve setting monetary policy is risky. Our markets have booms and busts because of government interference in the money supply- not in spite of it. There are multiple risky bubbles spread throughout the economy today. Please treat us like adults who can make our own decisions.
extreme government overreach to only allow top wealthy Americans access to inverse and leveraged investment products. absolutely not your business to decide what I do with my hard earned money.brokerage already has disclosure for this. hands off please. no more unnecessary regulation!
My being able to invest as I want, when I want should NOT be regulated.
I am writing to protest the proposed regulation.
As investors in equity markets, I and all other participants should be able to choose the investments suitable for ourselves without being subject to dictates from regulators. Regulators cannot understand an investor's specific perspective; only the investor can know it.
Knowledgeable investors should be free to invest in any listed security within their risk tolerance and financial level. Government can and should protect against fraud but should not pick winners and losers. Individuals and the market place are the best arbiters of value.
It is my money. I would like to have the freedom
I understand there is risk in investing. There is no reason for you to inhibit regular people from investing in whatever they deem best for their investment objectives. It's our money. We're grown adults. Treat us like it.
Stop letting Gary Gensler and others like him be the tool of the banks to only benefit them. Individual investors can make decisions about their future better than the bought and paid for government officials. Leave us alone. We need investment tools to protect our own future.
