This is not the first time that regulators have attempted to regulate Leveraged ETFs.

For some reason, we only see these actions at times when the markets have increased volitility. When times are good and the leveraged long ETFs are soaring, there is no scrutiny. Only when the leveraged short ETFs can provide value to investors do we see the risk of regulation or curtailing.

Leveraged ETFs have become a very important part of my portfolio and retirement plan. They provide cheap, accessible leverage for normal investors like me, and without them I would be unable to utilize leverage in my situation. I fully understand the risks and use them as part of a larger, unleveraged, diversified portfolio, and Im sure many others do the same.

I appose the ban, its unfair to ban now after investor like me loosing on those leverage and inverse investment vehicle For a fair play it should not be banned so we can make the money we lost who believe in value and fair play

I am a small, individual investor, an academic by profession. For the past twenty years I have had a portion of my retirement investments (about 10%) in a leveraged fund at Profunds. The market goes up and down, but this investment has been good to me. I strongly oppose restrictions to my right and ability to easily invest in such funds. I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.

It is outrageous that regulators want to treat the average investor like a second class citizen. Why do we need to take tests in order to buy an ETF?? This is America and we should be able to invest as we see fit. We should have the same access to the same products as anyone else.

Why should you need a degree in finance in order to buy an ETF? Similar to owning a gold ETF instead of owning gold bars, the products in question give consumer investors access to crypto without having to own crypto in a wallet.

What are you doing and why. This type of investment should not be only used by traders on wallstreet. All things are learned and anyone can learn how to use different investment strategies. WHY let only bankers steal on the short. This is obvious what you are trying to do. Protect bankers money. I oppose any restrictions to my ability to choose investments. I am responsible for my choices and should be able to invest as I choose without restriction. Leveraged and inverse funds are important to have available as needed.

Come on people, let's get back to individuals taking personal responsibility for their choices. We don't need the government telling us what to do or not do.

It is unjust to place restrictions on where or how I invest my hard earn funds. I thought America was the home of the free and the brave, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR FREEDOM? I am finally reaching the age of enjoying life and now this to look forward to ..Why on earth did I waste 40+ years of my life in the work force to look forward to such as this. Again what is wrong with our country?

This is another disgusting overreach. Let people make their own decisions. If you really cared about people you would find a way to put a stop to the state lottery systems that consistently siphon cash from the less fortunate.
