I am writing you all to voice my opinion on leveraged ETFs. Ive utilized thrse vehicles for many years and can personally state their viability. They have allowed me to take advantage of market movements during extreme volatility better than most options. I strongly believe they should remain an open option.
Im an investor who is quite capable of making my own investment decisions. If you wish to regulate investments try imposing restrictions on politicians who game the system and get rich with inside information!
I oppose restrictions to my right of investment in the stock market.
1. As an experienced investor of 25 years, I have adequate knowledge of investing in public securities, including leveraged and inverse funds. No special test should be imposed on me before I can do business in stock investments.
2. I am able to choose which public investments that are suitable for me and my family. I have the freedom and right to do business in stock investment, just like all the other famous investors, e.g. Warren Buffett.
Writing this to let you know that I oppose the restrictions being considered to leveraged and inverse funds.
I like having these funds available to help with risk mitigation of my stock portfolio and to take measured exposure to offset growing inflation costs.
I am familiar with the inherent risks of using these funds and don't want to be forced to take a test to continue to use them or to have them eliminated to small investors like myself.
Thanks for considering my opinion.
Please do NOT disrupt the market at this time. The market can not take another hit through unnecessary regulatory actions.
Thank you

The ability to use leveraged ETF’s allows me to hedge my downside risk without having to open an options account. The decay on these products against the ability to gain access to leverage is relatively balanced. Don’t pull retails ability to hedge downside risk on the cheap; particularly with the Fed raising interest rates until something breaks to try to create some level of demand destruction to lower inflation. You would be doing the vast majority of people a disservice.
Public shouldnt be forced to go through several process to get clearance etc to invest in leveraged funds. THis type should be available or public and not just ultra rich and institutional investors.
We should be able to chose how we want to invest our own overly-taxed income however we chose.
