Jack Berger Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST It is me not regulators that should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public -- not just the privileged. I have the right to share my views, but the regulators are required to take your comments into consideration in deciding whether to move forward. I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before you can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds.

Berndt Myhr Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I oppose any restrictions that may unnecessarily eliminate or appropriate restrictions on investments being considered under SEC Proposed Rule #S7-24-15 to the extent that it provides a platform for intuitions to manipulate or gain advantage over retail investors. Free market capitalism should not be compromised by individuals fears or inability to educate oneself in an era of communication and free information.

Government is supposed to be here to provide the services that the citizen can't provide, like military, international policies, etc. This government wasn't set up to be babysitters for its citizens. Citizen can make their own decisions, be they bad ones or good ones. Every day we make decisions about our lives without government intervention. Some of these decisions literally cost people their lives, but it is still OUR decision. Investment are also a choice that many people make than can drastically affect their financial future.

Marcel CFA Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I'm concerned about your plan to restrict my access to leveraged and inverse ETFs. I strongly urge you to reconsider your plans. I should be able to choose investments that are right for me and my family -- regulators should not interfere here. Passing a test or having cool off periods is completely unnecessary hand holding. You are trying to protect a small subset of investors that are investing in a reckless fashion. They are wired that way and will easily find another way of being reckless.
