This is an overreach by regulatory powers.

As retail participants in the stock market, we are already having to compete with large institutions and automated algorithms.

Having ability to use inverse and leveraged instruments is one of the few ways we can level the playing field.

Please do not make these instruments inaccessible to ordinary people.

I oppose restrictions to my rights to invest in public investments. Public investments should be available to retail investors, including leveraged and inverse ETFs/funds. I understand the risks of these products and use them for both hedging purposes as well as investment strategies for a limited part of my portfolio to enhance returns. Restrictions and obstacles to access of these investment vehicles only serves to further the wealth divide. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.

While I understand the need to protect people I also feel it is important that people have the right to invest in legitimate devices as they see fit. If anything advise people of their investment risk but don't automatically curb people or their ability to invest in leveraged items because of some bad/uninformed choices by others.

The big Wall street greedy thieves are constantly trying to stop the little guy from making money - we want growth - they want maintenance. Not fair!!! Wealthy people don't contribute much to the world. Leave us alone and share a little you stingy bunch - or eventually we'll vote you all out and tax you out of existence. :)

The premise of having public securities is the amount of available information to make an intelligent and informed decision. Leveraged ETFs come with enough information. There are stocks from other countries listed that do not adhere to standard accounting practices or disclosures. Why target Leveraged ETFs and not the other investments?

Me not regulators should be able to choose the public
investments that are right for me and my family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public,
not just the privileged.

This proposal to limit the universe of my investments should not be done.
It would further limit what small investors can do, leaving more control in the hands of the major investors and brokerage houses.

It's important that barriers ARE NOT erected that allow people to diversify their portfolios and better manage risk.

I would like to express my SUPPORT for additional regulation of trading leveraged and inverse funds. I use leveraged ETFs quite heavily in my own financial planning, and I don't see any reason not to require investors to pass a simple test to use these products. They are a great tool for hedging, but they can be very riskyand I believe some measures should be taken to make sure that they are used by people who can either demonstrate a basic understanding of those risks or who can demonstrate that they can afford to lose what they are investing.

I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. I don't believe the US government should hamper me in my decisions regarding investments. Leveraged and inverse funds are important tools in my investment strategies
