I, not regulators, should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be made available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I do not trust government officials to be making these restrictions/regulations on us. It does not pass the smell test, it may well be proposed for nefarious political purposes.
Another suspicious circumstance is that the Mail informing o of this development arrived this afternoon, 5/9/22, and saying the deadline was today, 5/9/22. Hmmm, I wonder what that might be about? It is right now 7:41 PST, or 10:41 EST in Washington, DC, well after usual COB. Again, hmmm.
I am absolutely opposed. This type of classism will further promote the growing disparity within our nation. It is the antithesis of equality and cements the fast growing perception that America is a land without opportunity. There should not be a list of requirements to complete before having the ability to access investments in private securities.
I'm writing to strongly oppose the limitations on my ability to buy the Funds. I want to maintain my current freedom to invest in public securities of my own choosing.
An attack on the working class
Keep the lying politicians out of our investments! Let us make our OWN decisions! Maybe these same [REDACTED] who are trying to take away our ability to invest for our future should let us, the people see what they have done to make themselves rich from insider trading! Let's look into this before they start looking into the people that they are supposed to represent!
Please stop trying to control our money
Dear Financial Regulators,
Please put these products behind reasonable knowledge or acknowledgment-of-risk walls rather than wealth walls where only potentially unknowledgeable wealthy & only already-wealthy investors can capitalize on the opportunities unlocked by these products.
It hurts investors. Is arbitrary and unworkable. It upends the regulatory system. I oppose any limitations in my investments.
