I do not need restrictions placed on my investment potential. It is enough that investors are advised of the risk before making that decision. This proposal is an overkill regulation that take investor rights away.
I oppose government restrictions to my right to invest in things such as inverse ETFs. They are public investments and should remain fully accessible to the public without government restrictions. I feel totally informed and safe in making this kind of investment decision and have been doing so for some time. So long as risks are spelled out for the investor they are suitable for any private citizen.
I do not want anything restricting the way I invest, such as, net worth requirements, education, training, etc. I want to be able to use whatever is awhile to increase my ROI and reduce volatility. Leveraged and inverse funds are two of the tools that I currently use to reach those ends.
I oppose restriction to my right to invest
This is an overreach by the regulators. Not necessary! Do the right thing let me choose to investments I have made the educated decision to invest in. Everyone knows investments are a risk so don't use that to hide behind like you are protecting someone. You are taking away our rights to invest.
Proshares ETFs provides individual investors options to short and use leverage without taking excessive losses beyond the original investment and should be allowed to persist
I own some shares in ProShares, a mutual fund that I own as a hedge - in case the market turns nasty (as it is now), at least something will keep its value. ProShares is a publicly traded company, and bought on the advice of Vanguard, the largest brokerage/ mutual fund company in the world. I don't like you "protecting" me by telling me what I can and cannot invest in - or whether I can invest at all.
I should be able to chose my own investments, not regulators.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment activity.
I am an adult and do not need intervention by regulators.
Please do not limit our ability to invest freely in the way we choose. We shouldnt have to jump through hoops such as qualifications and tests in order to invest/trade.
