I wanted to comment regarding the regulations being considered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). I have utilized the leveraged funds and I understand how they work. I do not feel that it is necessary to go through any special training or monitoring to trade with these funds. I oppose restrictions regarding my right to invest in public investments.
I am fully aware of the risks I take with my investments. I do not need the Government to protect me from myself. Leveraged funds are important to my investment strategies for retirement because they help to maximize returns on my investments.
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST. I have right to invest any etf stock in this free market and this freedom country.
I have invested for 30 years. I have used inverse etfs to protect my investments in markets that decline, often because of government actions.
No one should have to pass a test administered by the government to protect their own finances.
This is overreach by a department that I do not believe is looking after my best interests. It is pursuing an agenda that is against my best interests.
Leveraged funds and ETF's are important tools to allow investors to gain market leverage at a manageable level of risk, compared to traditional methods of leverage, such as the use of margin. Investors who research and learn the appropriate use of leveraged funds are able to use them as a part of an overall portfolio and generate leverage without jeopardizing their entire net worth. In comparison, the use of margin may result in greater losses than the investor's initial capital. Therefore, it is essential for retail investor to keep their full access to leveraged funds.
Inverse funds are part of an important strategy for ordinary people to hedge against bear market conditions, an environment where ordinary people have very little option for protection. Do not take this option away from well educated and well informed investors.
Please do not restrict access to digital currencies.
