I should be able to choose what I invest in. Voting for this limitation will keep poor people poor. We should have the freedom to invest as we please.
Do not restrict my right to trade in whatever product I choose. These products are 10 years or more old and I have done my own research and analysis for days and weeks total time. You were not restricting the same products when they were going up, so you should not restrict them on the way down. You will be hurting the people you are intending to help because you cannot pick and choose what directions markets end up taking. Every investor has the choice to make his/her decision when investing and that is their choice to invest in whatever they want to invest in.
Dear Sir/Madam, I work as an R&D Engineer, and consider myself a middle class American. I frequently invest in ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ ETF, symbol SQQQ, and ProShares UltraPro QQQ, symbol TQQQ. These funds give me great flexibility in meeting my long term investment goals. I am well informed of exactly what these funds offer, and am able to incorporate them into my investment strategy. So far, they have benefited me greatly. Any measures to put restrictions on trading them will create great inconvenience for me and will be counter productive to retail investors like me.
