The way the stock market is set up for the larger entities to easily outweigh performance of the average retail trader is completely absurd. With stocks that are being massively shorted, much like Tesla (TSLA) was back a few years ago, and other stocks now like Gamestop (GME), AMC Theater (AMC) , Nokia (NOK) and many more, it allows such a distrust in the system for who can make money FAIRLY. If
1) Profiting from company failures is immoral. 2) The practice is damaging because it artificially lowers stock prices. 3) It's a privileged investment tactic that is not available to everyday investors. 4) Short sellers manipulate the market, by conspiring. 5) short selling has turned into illegal / naked / phantom shorting shares millions times over resulting in FTDs, fake stock pricing,
The average investor in the United States is kept woefully in the dark when it comes to the dealings of large institutions, such as Citadel. The power institutions like this have to manipulate the market and evade even the simplest rules of the "free and fair" market has proven astronomical. Retail investors need more transparent access to short positions that these large institutions
Serialize ALL shares of a stock with block chain. No more synthetic shares and doubles/triple lending etc. They can no longer complain that its tip expensive - it's a fraction of what they're paying in short interest to cover their asses and kick the can down the road. They've created monster - Tame it for the future with blockchain.... - Also - Punish the ones who are naked
There are no rules. Why even have all of this? Naked shorting continues, dark pool trading is out of control. EVERYTHING is set up for the institutions and the super rich to get richer, and the retail investor to be left holding a bag. The institutions are allowed to continue to gamble recklessly and get bailed out when it doesn’t go their way. There needs to be real change in the system to be

Dear FINRA Committee members, It is this commenter's genuine hope that short selling is banned as it serves counter-purpose to the two primary functions of the Stock Market, Capital Allotment, and Price Discovery. As such an act would likely remove the need for FINRA, and it is unjust to request this forum to consider self-destruction. Instead, this comment hopes to serve as a basic appeal
In association with TRACE, FINRA will release the Agency Debt Trade Dissemination ServiceSM (ATDSSM) on March 1, 2010.
I would want all the of these actions implemented and a DAILY accounting of it in both graphing and table form made available for public consumption. I believe that short positions are a part of the market's functionality. However, only 1 level. That is, a true 1-to-1 correspondence of short to stock share. The delivery date MUST be cut down to 1 day without a 'kick-the-can' down
It is due time that we make the stock market more transparent for all investors. Dark pools used to hide buying pressure on stocks and shorting them on the open market is manipulation. We need to do away with dark pools all together and also have a means to know exact short interest other than " Self Report data" .
