Samuel C. Rindell

Senior Vice President, Learning, Talent and Organizational Development

Dr. Rindell is Senior Vice President, Learning, Talent and Organizational Development. In this role, he leads FINRA’s learning and talent strategy, the development of critical workforce capabilities and advances programs that help FINRA drive organizational performance.

Dr. Rindell was previously Vice President, Learning, Talent and Organizational Development, with responsibility for FINRA's training and development programs and developing a unified, strategic function that supports the full employee lifecycle.

Prior to joining FINRA, Dr. Rindell led enterprise leadership development and executive coaching at Cigna 
and played a key role in enhancing performance management, advancing enterprise leadership development and revamping Cigna's educational reimbursement program. Before joining Cigna, Dr. Rindell spent twelve years at Pfizer in various senior leadership roles within sales, research and development, human resources, and talent, learning and organizational development.

He holds many professional certifications including Hogan, viaEDGE Learning Agility, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, DiSC, ProSci Change Management, Linkage Change Management, Emotional Intelligence 2.0, Hay Group Leadership Styles & Climate, TKI Conflict Modes and is certified as an executive coach through the International Coaching Federation.

In addition to his role at FINRA, Dr. Rindell serves as a professor and keynote lecturer in the areas of leadership, management, human resources and coaching. He holds a doctorate in Leadership and Management and completed post-doctoral studies in Strategic Human Resources Management at Cornell University. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, running, skiing and the beach.
