The FINRA Board of Governors met this week to discuss a number of issues, including one rulemaking item. A summary of the rule proposal, as approved by the Board, is included below.

Rulemaking Items Discussed at the February 2016 Board Meeting
Fixed Income Pricing Disclosure
The Board authorized the filing with the SEC of a revised proposal to require member firms to disclose pricing information on customer confirmations for trades in fixed income securities with non-institutional customers, whereby firms would be required to disclose the mark-up on the price of a customer trade where both the firm’s principal trade and the customer trade occur on the same trading day.
