I OPPOSE ANY RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST.
It's not the place of regulators to limit the ability to invest based on net worth. Public investments should be available to the public, not merely the privileged. Shame on you.
Please let everyone invest freely. Stop stacking the deck against regular people.
I have been trading leveraged ETFs for years. I understand the risks associated with them, as well as, all investment vehicles; leveraged or otherwise. Government imposed restrictions of these funds is not needed nor wanted. I should not have to go through any special process just to prove that I can use these products as a part of my investment strategy. Asking someone to prove they have enough 'wealth' to trade these vehicles is class warfare and an attack on the average investor.
Dear Sir or Madam; Even though I have the "money" I am already restricted in types of bonds that I can purchase. Some unknown somebody has made that decision for me. If a legal investment is available to the public, than the investment should be available to ALL. Thanks to a marvelous public school education, I am able to read and comprehend public securities investments and their risks. As dull and boring as they may be to read, I DO read them. Do not impose on your investment decisions. It's like handing my ability to vote to a complete stranger - I would not do it. Would you?
These proposed regulations only serve to protect the currently wealthy and has no place in a free republic
I have been invested for a number of years in a number of products that are being considered for additional regulation, including CEFs, target date funds, high yield bond funds, leveraged/inverse funds, and crypto-backed funds. I researched these funds before investment, and expect anyone else would as well.
These funds have been some of the most productive in my portfolio, and I think anyone with funds to invest should be allowed to.
I oppose restrictions of any kind, to my right to invest. I should be able to choose which investments I put my money into. Public investments are just that-PUBLIC, not specific groups of people. AMERICA IS A FREE NATION! I don't want less input and freedom, but more. It is ridiculous to give different privileges to different groups of people. If we have money to invest, it is our right to invest wherever we choose. I can make better decisions with my money than the government anyway, but that's beside the point. The point is-It's my money.
