Dear FINRA,
I have recently been made aware of the FINRA proposed rule #22-08, and it has me concerned for investors for the following reasons listed below. In summary, I believe if this rule is codified it will hurt investors more than help investors, will hurt the economy around investing in America, and is simply against the freedoms granted to us as being an American citizen.
I am writing to inform you that I oppose this regulatory proposal to limit access to leveraged and inverse funds. I feel that retail investors like myself are more than capable of understanding the technicals and risks of leveraged and inverse etfs. Restricting trading of these equities is a violates the principles of the free market.
I reject the idea of anyone else, besides me, that can tell me what type of stocks I can buy. Period.
Rights need to remain with the individual, not the regulators, who have more power than I'd like, and do not want to see their power grow.
I feel that we need to fight to preserve our right to invest without being encumbered by excessive regulations and penalties.
Is it not bad enough that the government has to be greedy and take everything else from Americans along with charging taxes and then take what they do get to line their own pockets or pay for illegal immigrants? Government needs to keep their hands off the American people's money.
We should be able to do what ever you want to go do

All people have a right to invest!!!!
I should have every right to invest my assets in any way that I chose, not by anyone or any organization.
I have been investing in equity markets for over 50 year. These investments are a small amount of my total equity and I limit to only investing in options so I know exactly what my worse case scenario is. No margin calls. Plus my total cash invested of my own money is never more than $2000. average per month. Most quarter a lot less. It would be a shame if I lost the opportunity to invest in these manages funds because I don't have the time to do so on my own.
