I strongly oppose any restrictions to invest in leveraged and inverse securities. This is a fundamental right for any investor. Why would this suddenly become an issue? If I am willing to take the risks for these type of investments why would regulators oppose this?

You are attempting to channel Retail investors into categories in an attempt to regulate their trades. If you would actually regulate the Banks, Brokers and Short Sellers these new regulations against Retail would be unnecessary. It appears that Retail traders have become a threat to your "Status Quo".

I can make my own investment decisions, NOT Big brother regulators. I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family.
Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.

As a private investor, we should be able to make our own investment decisions. I/we earned this money, not you. We are entitled to invest our own money however we choose. You let people gamble in Vegas, right? You let people engage in online betting, right? You let people buy cigarettes and alcohol, right? I am fully capable of understanding the risks of leveraged and inverse funds. I'm too smart to smoke or consume excessive alcohol. Leveraged funds are an important tool in protecting my investments and enhancing investment returns at opportune times.

I strongly believe it is of the utmost importance that the general public be allowed to invest in these publicly available securities. They allow people with smaller amounts of capital to get the exposure they need to the market, and invest for they and their family's future financial well-being. Limiting these investments to professionals or only those with high capital would be class warfare. Those who invest in leveraged funds already view a warning before purchasing the securities, and I fully understand and accept the risks I assume by investing in them.

I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.

Comments: There is absolutely no need for the net worth requirement. This will just shut shrewd young retail investor out of the market and entrench the wealth inequality.

People have the right to choose what area they invest in and to deal with the risk/rewards that are the outcome. Limiting these opportunities will not mitigate any negative outcomes.

i am opposed of additional regulations for the invest of proshare or similar investment vehicle. besides limiting future investors it will hurt the current investor by making the invest less liquid in nature. additional, the rules proposed do not help investor and therefore should not be implemented. please vote to not add additional regulations. Leveraged and inverse funds are important to your investment strategies. i use them to leverage protect my investments. And i use them as a limited part of my overall portfolio

Please allow anyone to invest in leveraged funds. I invest in a leveraged fund of the S&P 500 index fund. Can you think of another index or benchmark that is safer? This merely doubles it. It's not risky over the long term at all.
