I use leveraged products as a small part of my portfolio to both hedge as well as enhance gains. I learned to use these leveraged products from the information provided to me on provider web sites well informed of the dangers "that these are not long term" investment strategies. I have gained from both short and long leveraged products.
For the past nine years I've successfully used leveraged ETFs to manage our family's portfolios, paying for college for our children, buying cars, and covering other household expenses.
As with all investment products, we as individual investors have the right to choose what vehicles are best for our needs, not some government entity.
Understanding leveraged ETFs is not difficult, we don't use them as trading vehicles, but as long term strategies to hedge our portfolios and make strategic financial decisions.
This is a ridiculous idea. Stop trying to limit the individual investor and instead focus on the rampant manipulation by the big firms. Do not pass this regulation, it is bad for the free markets.
There is no reason to ban or complicate leveraged or inverse funds. I really hope that you do not embark on a program of destroying the versatility that these funds offer investors and traders.
I am an individual investor who has been investing in the stock market for over 40 years. I routinely utilize leveraged and inverse products to achieve my investment goals and hedge my investment risks. I am fully aware of the way in which these products operate and the risks inherent in utilizing them. My investment strategies would be severely compromised were these products no longer freely available.
You have done enough to try and turn this country into whatever they are paying to too, we know what your doing! Stop playing with peoples lives! Leave us alone!
These products, costly as they are, are the primary way people with individual retirement accounts and other regulated tax-advantaged accounts can hedge and take contrary positions in these markets. Please dont exclude us from trading these products, especially now.
It is important to me that the ability to trade and invest in all public funds, and that ability not be infringed upon by regulators
I am competent and understand the complexity and associated risks trading in leveraged and inverse funds and should not require any specialized training or special access permissions. I do not want my ability to invest in these funds to be limited in any manner.
Stay out of our investments
