Do not restrict my ability to use leveraged or inverse funds. It is my money after all and an important part of my investment strategy. I understand the risks involved and have used these vehicles for years without incident.

I appreciate FINRAs concern regarding complex products. In this case, I think it is entirely inappropriate to place any restrictions them buying these types of products, but warnings would be helpful. I believe this for a number of reasons:

I came across this information that FINRA is trying to come up with regulations that will decide on who gets to invest in which publicly available securities.

I don't see any reason why FINRA should dictate what I should or should not invest in. I should be personally responsible and liable for my decisions.

I should be able to choose my publicly offered investments or pay an advisor to do so on my behalf without a bunch of unnecessary regulations and requirements. Im sure if the usual basic information regarding investment pros/cons and risks would suffice in making financial decisions.

Hello. Although I do believe that certain investments are not for everybody, restricting publicly traded investments is not the right path. Fidelity Investments has a Designated Investor Agreement to have on record that I understand the risks associated with more complex etfs and investments. I feel that is enough of a warning, but please do not restrict me from using these for my personal investing.
(Specifically leveraged etfs)

Please leave us investors alone and worry about more important things like the border, crime, ukraine, inflation and anything else but controlling retail investors.

Regulators should not be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. i.e CONGRESS..

As an experienced trader for many decades I have no misconceptions about leveraged or inverse vehicles.
It is the nature of a free market to have available the full spectrum of choices. Therefore it is my belief that I should not be denied these options.

Stop regulation of leveraged funds We dont need more regulations about what funds I can and cannot invest in. These are public investments and they should be available to anyone who chooses to use them. These leveraged and inverse funds are critical to my portfolio strategy. I use them in small amounts to help hedge my investments. It is my hard earned money, I reserve the right to invest it insecurities I wish. It does not make any sense to have to pass a test or go through some specific process. The properties and risks of these funds are very clear, and we dont need more regulations.
