I don't need or want any government agency determining my capacity to understand "complex products." The trade of leveraged & inverse (leveraged) products allows smaller investors to take on asymmetric risk with very little liquidity. This allows me to insure large portions of my portfolio during down-turns with very little cost/risk; something I would otherwise be unable to do if access to these products is restricted.
I not only buy cryptocurrency funds but I also buy cryptos/tokens. Also, along with these I also buy funds that track other asset classes, ETF's, bullion, both gold and silver, and gold and silver stocks. I buy large cap, small cap and mid cap equities. I buy and sell option contracts.
Why on earth are you considering infringing on the investments in cryptocurrency funds?!! Please nip this though in the bud and let freedom reign in the investment world.
We are adults, not children, and have the right to invest as we see fit. Owning individual stocks is way more risky than a leveraged etf tracking an index. When a stock such as Netflix can lose 75% of its value, do you propose banning individual stocks? Let people choose!
Do NOT restrict investments!!
Regulators,
I urge you not to enact any legislation that limits or impedes my ability to choose for myself which investments are appropriate for me and my family.
In particular, I am especially against any proposal that will restrict or complicate my ability to strategically trade leveraged ETF's and similar products. I have effectively used these products to enhance my own personal portfolio's returns in measured and responsible ways for years now and would be both disappointed and upset if their use was restricted.
Leave the citizen out of your screw up. We didn't make it. When you took office the economy was booming and you couldn't stand it,so you had the nerve to put us in terrible fix and you don't know how to get out of it. That's all the Dumbrats know how to fix it. Sick of it. Hope you lose the election in November in a land slide, so America can become a great Nation that it was before you were elected. You are sorry, sorry and sorry.
While you might feel it is in the best interest to block several of these investments. I do disagree with banning. If there are smaller hurdles fine but most people need to take responsibility for his/her investment actions. Truthfully, you missed the boat with a company like Robinhood which essentially turned investing into a casino. Mark
Leveraged funds allow the average investor to increase exposure in good times and protect ourselves during downturns in the market. These are tools youre taking away from the average person to get ahead
Almost all of investors are already well aware of the meaing of investing in leverged or inversed efts and no one can or should limit the personal choice for investing with their own money and assets I totally oppose for the FINRA regulatory notice
