John Nugent Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

After 50 years of investing including the use of leveraged and inverse funds; I believe I have the right as well as the responsibility to control my own investments. I do not need or want measures inacted that would only impair my investing. I use inverse funds to stabilize my portfolio and to offset some of my long position. I started trading these funds when I was young. That's how I learned. Don't take this adventure away from other investors.

Leveraged funds are excellent vehicles to maximize returns on invested capital, it is my money.FINRA should focus on selling orders of brokers customers to the frontrunners , market makers , scalpers & fast traders firms. I do not feel I need any special process of passing a qualifying test to be able to invest in these instruments, some Option strategies are even a lot riskier than these funds. I am opposed to have any regulatory measure imposed on me. AFTER ALL IT IS MY MONEY&NO NEED FOR REGULATORS TO GUARD IT OR SHAPAROON ME.

Leveraged instruments are important for experienced retail investors to go long the market and hedge in uncertain market conditions. We accept the risk of loss, and do not put more in these instruments than 25% of a portfolio. Still, they also have been some of the greatest generators of wealth when going long after a prolonged bear market. It's unacceptable to take this opportunity away from retail investors. A small amount such as 20k, can be life changing after a 500% run after having purchased TQQQ near the covid lows of 2020.

Please do not take any current options for maximum flexibility in the free market trading of US securities. The market is already over manipulated by government regulations and the enforcement agencies, including the Federal Reserve. If you are looking for a more open and fair market, start by taking away the right to invest in individual stocks from the US House of Representatives and the Senate.
