I do not agree with FINRAs proposed limits that may restrict my access to Leveraged ETFs or disqualify me from trading L&I ETFs or other complex products. I have a strong understanding of the characteristics and risks of L&I Funds, and that their purpose is for short-term active trading, and that they should be monitored regularly. My broker provides me a description of the warnings in connection with my investments in L&I Funds, and their rationale.
I oppose limitations on my investments. I want to maintain my current freedom to invest in public securities of my choosing.
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST. I, not regulators, should get to choose the public investments that are right for my investment strategies. Public investments should be available to all, not the select privileged. I oppose requirements of regulator-imposed tests, sharing private financial information, obtaining special permission, and any and all other restrictions on leveraged/inverse funds. Like many other retail investors, I understand leveraged/inverse funds and other complex products and their associated risks.
Please leave access to ALL etfs and complex products alone. Investors know how to assess and manage and accept risk, we do not need more government overreach / interference. Thank you, Phillip Ranelli
Comments: FINRA, Please do Not limit access to Leveraged and Inverse ETF Products. Regards, Donald Acosta
As a retail investor, who has been actively trading in the last 2 years and these regulations are very much targeted at, I do not agree with the proposed rule/guidance changes. FINRA has already placed many barriers to retail investors in the form of PDT rules, $25k capital requirements, etc. At no point in my journey as a new trader have I felt that the restrictions benefitted me or protected me and actually feel I have been harmed by the existing limits such as PDT. Learning to trade stocks, options, leveraged ETFs, etc. does take time and requires understanding risk.
Comments: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of... Independence and freedom. Restrictions and censorship is NOT a means of protection. Direxion offers a plethora of information and the intial education of Inverse ETFS. The established Indices: DIA, QQQ, SPY, IWM, etc., are available for investors/traders without restrictions I humbly request consideration to please allow ALL ETFS access to a level/equal market. Thank you for your consideration. P. Baker
This regulation makes little sense. It is a severe violation of investment freedom, which hampers people's abilities to leverage their investment options and medigate risks. I strong oppose such authoritative regulation!
