Comments: As an RIA and CFP Professional with over two decades experience I can tell you that retail investors are far more experienced, savvy and informed than when I started in the business. Teenagers invest through their phones, something I never dreamed of at their age. The disclosure and consumer warnings required by leveraged products providers more than addresses the risks involved in trading their products.
Comments: leveraged ETFs are right for me
Comments:Leveraged and Inverse ETC. I am aware of the risk involved in these vehicle and suspect that most are also aware. Please do not limit my options Stocks get extremely difficult to short. Thank you! Glenn Williams
No changes are needed. I have traded these products for years. They are neither "confusing" or "complex." Stop insulting us.
As an institutional and self-taught individual investor, I have utilized leveraged and inverse funds successfully for twenty-five years. I believe them to be a valuable strategic/tactical portfolio option. While I agree that knowledge of these complex products is imperative, the ability and willingness to self-educate or receive training is too readily available to require an onerous process to qualify. With such an approach, I may not have had access for years before I began working with brokers.
CommentsThe definition of the term COMPLEX IS TO GENERAL LET AN INDIVIDUAL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS :
These funds like all ETF, Stocks and options come with risk and potential loss of capital. These ETFs should be allowed to trade at the traders discretion.
While it may seem reasonable and prudent to limit access to leveraged ETFs to novice traders, experienced traders with 2 years of experience or more, should be able to enjoy the full and unrestricted freedom of trading such instruments.
Dear Sirs: Please DO NOT make ETF investments more expensive or more difficult. Leveraged ETFs are the corner stone of my, in retirement, investment strategy. Leveraged ETFs provide an index for specific sectors that i havent been able to find anywhere else. The premiums on options for leveraged ETFs are also beneficial. I dont understand why you are planning a disruption of a beneficial investment, perhaps a little restraint is in order.
