I oppose restrictions in my right to invest in public investments
Leveraged and inverse funds have been vital to protecting my family's assets during this downturn. The problem is not a lack of regulation. The problem is the government not cracking down on true fraud and constantly bailing out entities that make poor choices.
I am a retail trader who has invested in and traded these "complex" and "confusing" instruments for years and have made great money. They are not confusing or complex at all. Stop insulting us and do not impose any further restrictions.
It's time for the federal government and all federal regulators take a look at our Constitution. You govern at the consent of the governed. Does that mean anything to you? Stop taking away our liberties. You have no right to diminish our rights. As an investor of over 45 years, I fully understand all risks associated with my investments. I don't need you to protect me. I need you to protect my freedoms and liberties by honoring the US Constitution. Govern by the CONSENT of the governed!!!!!!
I oppose any restrictions on my right and ability to invest my hard earned money..just the same as you would never want or allow anyone telling or limiting your right, choice and ability to invest your money.
Please do not regulate my ability to participate in the market by purchasing inverse funds.
I have been trading leveraged ETF's for years as part of my investment strategy in my savings and retirement accounts. I don't think we should have to pass a test ton continue to do this or any government agency should limit our right to do this.
On your website it states, "FINRA is authorized by Congress to protect Americas investors by making sure the broker-dealer industry operates fairly and honestly." This means that you are representing American investors. As an American investor, I do not support the increased regulation of leveraged and inverse funds which includes SEC Proposed Rule #S7-24-15. American investors should be free and easily able to decide what they can and cannot invest in without undue hindrances.
please stop
I am writing to strongly oppose any restrictions on the public's right to invest in inverse or leveraged funds.
