I believe we should have the freedom to invest how we choose. You can put disclaimers, but do not block people from the ability to invest in what they choose.
By creating barriers for individual investors such as myself it will make planning for retirement significantly more difficult and time consuming. For example, I prefer to invest in target date funds which do not require a significant time commitment but ensure I will be diversified and manage risk as I get closer to retirement. For individuals with less time they may not invest altogether and may not be sufficiently prepared for retirement. Please reconsider these restrictions and the impact they will have on all Americans.
Stop with the regulations!
I oppose restrictions to my right to invest include leveraged and inverse funds. These are important investment vehicles to hedge our portfolios and participate in the market. We don't need to give a test to be able to use these public investments.
I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities like leveraged and inverse funds.
A majority of my net worth is in Bitcoin. The little that remains in the legacy system hangs by a thread - for tax benefit. Though I ask myself, is it worth it? That I must write to a 3rd party, begging for permission regarding my own money. Is it really our money if we need your permission? Is it really money if it can be printed arbitrarily.
To whom it may concern, Do not take away my right to invest in a leverage and inverse funds nor should you restrict us small investors. You do not restrict the large firm to short stock or inverse funds but you go after the little guy so you give the big large firms the edge to win and beat the little guy. We small investors want to invest and have level playing field. If you really want to make the small investors a level playing field let us make are own decisions on what we invest in and stop high frequency trading.
