LaDell Crookston Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

The Founders did not create a paternal state when they broke ties with England. The formed a republic where individual rights under the law was the essential value, being also welded to individual responsibility. While I support laws that punish fraud, I also support the right of mentally competent adults to make their own decisions. I vigorously oppose any government body removing the "free from our freedoms to act in the market as we see fit. I also vigorously oppose any law that gives an advantage to certain investors who enjoy special privileges through government regulation.

Everyone should have the ability to invest in leveraged investments as long as they understand the risks. Placing restrictions on the small investor creates disadvantages while large institutions take advantage of opportunities. Leveraged investments as long as they are not your entire portfolio allows the small investor to maximize profits without placing large amounts of capital at risk. Please do not take this option away from us.

Yian Berberian Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I use leveraged funds to enhance the performance of my long-term portfolio and rebalance them systematically on a quarterly basis. I know what I am doing. The proper use of these leveraged products is a key part of my financial plan.

These funds are important to me. They improve my performance over the long term. I am not engaged in reckless trading, I understand the effect of daily magnification of an indexs price movement, and I use this magnification to my advantage.
