I am in the process of learning about this and I don't appreciate you taking away my options.
I have been successfully managing my investments for decades. Leveraged and inverse funds have been an effective tool for me, especially in this volatile environment. I would have been at a disadvantage if I was not able to use these tools as hedges especially for my long positions that I have held for years, and which would cause an expensive tax event if I had to sell them. I hope that FINRA will not remove them from the individual investor.
This should be available to everyone.
I am currently holding a position in an inverse leveraged stock. Personally, knowing how it works and understanding the risks. I do not believe I should lose my investment opportunities based on my privilege within the market, and financially. My overall opportunities as an investor and financially will become limited which I find unfair to myself as an investor.
Dear Sirs, I feel that the potential new legislation is unreasonable and restrictive to our freedom to pursue personal investments of our own choice. It is a misguided scheme by FINRA and I completely reject it.
I fully understand that leveraged investments can cause a great loss in value should its price go down. I believe I should be allowed to take that risk if I choose to.
Publick investment shukd be available to all of the public.Privileged don't need as much to suplement there retirement account as working people. I shoudldin't have to go through any specjal process like passing a test bifore I can invest in publick securitiefs, like leverage and invers funds. There are help on for people who want to learn how to invest in leveraged and inverse fund. Example "jasonkelly.com". Limiting my acces to these funds is in my opinion wrong and unfair. My question to you Gentlemen is how you determinig who is qualified and who is not to invest in public securities?
Similar to your accredited investor restrictions in Alternative Investments, you are doing more than you are worth. If people are not researching/making informed investing decisions then that is their prerogative but why do you feel the need to restrict those of us that have? Another waste of tax payer dollars through a bureaucratic government agency pretend to play the role of parent
It is my opinion as an economist and business person that a free market is way more valuable than Government trying to protect people from their economic personal responsibility.
If you want to make a difference teach investing in early high school. We as citizens want less government, more personal responsibility and less intrusion to our basic freedom.
