Betty Nguyen Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I am opposed to regulation #22-08.

I should be able to make my own decisions about my investments, not regulators. I can read & understand the notices that are provided when I choose an investment and should not be required to take a test to prove it.

I use inverse funds as well as other instruments and it will be detrimental to my portfolio if I am unable to use them.

I ask that regulation #22-08 not be enacted.

Robert Caylor Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.

I have invested in leveraged and inverse funds for years, and am fully capable of understanding these funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me.

The proposed restrictions on my right to invest should not be put in place.

Mark Emanuel Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

I am, in general, opposed to the need for additional barriers of entry to use leveraged and inverse funds. The existing regulations require stockbrokers to monitor age and balances of accounts, and already quiz traders on their experience using such investment tools. There is always a risk no matter what the investment, and there's no real difference between leveraged/inverse funds and other mechanisms like speculative stocks or options trades. The barrier of entry would keep younger investors from potential gains early in their trading years.
