Please allow us to trade freely
Leveraged and inverse funds are critically important to me in hedging our portfolio risk. Any efforts to curtail their availability would be short sighted and an egregious abuse of regulatory authority. Please leave them alone!!!
I strongly against the removal of purchase Leverage ETFs opportunities.
Let us trade freely
Are we still living in a free country, or will the government just take over and tell us how we will live our lives? Managing risk is the responsibility of the investor and their relationship manager. When regulators will guarantee me a specific return "every" year then they can tell me how to invest, if they can't and they know they can't then they should regulate not dictate. Sincerely, Steve Shrader [REDACTED]
I am an average investor who has spent the time researching and making my own choice to buy leveraged investments. I am fully aware of my investment choices and feel that it is up to me, and not government regulators, to invest freely in a free market. I do not approve of any additional vague and arbitrary regulations that will hinder in me choosing leveraged investment.
I want to be able to chose public investments. No regulations or special processes are needed.
To whom it may concern.
I feel it important to inform you that I believe we should be able to choose our investments and what is appropriate for our families. Working on the industry we have a good understanding of leveraged, and inversed leveraged ETFs and should not have to take examinations to demonstrate that knowledge. Due to regulations we have limited investments we can use in a bearish or volital market to hedge. Inversed ETFs and leveraged inverse ETFs are one of the tools we can currently use to hedge and should not be restricted. Thank you for your time in this matter.
Unfortunately, I have to ask, at what point is it necessary to protect the general public from their own ignorance. Are we to say that you can do anything, even get out of bed, because there is a risk of dying? Restricting the ability of people to invest in any product they wish because some people do not due their due diligence is unacceptable. They made a decision and will pay the consequences for it. It is not the governments job to protect people from their own ignorance!
I stand firm that I should be able to choose the vehicles I invest in. I am an individual investor who has successfully traded using leveraged and inverse funds for many years. Hearing the cautions beforehand, I researched them on my own before I started using them. I currently use them to enhance my portfolio, as well as hedge it. I, and millions of other investors, are capable of understanding the hazards of these funds and navigating them. We don't need special requirements or tests to use them. The choice should continue to be left up to us. Thank you for reading this.
