Why should only the wealthy be allowed to invest in such PUBLIC funds. It should not be up to the regulators to decide what i can and cannot invest in
I Request FINRA to Please allow everyone to access these products. Many people use these products sensibly by allocating a small portion of their net-worths. It is not fair to allow only certain individuals to access these products, while restricting everyone else. One could buy a stock which could go to zero, is that not an unsafe / complex investment? How do you define complexity? Buying AAPL or AMZN is complex if one is unable to understand the Fundamentals. Boeing was a great company but suddenly now looks like a complex investment after airplane issues.
The government has over regulated everything in our state and in our country! Power corrupts Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
I object to this ruling
I should be able to buy whatever securities I like without any government interference. It's a free market and whatever securities that are available to corporations or billionaires should be able to me as well.
Dear communist,
I live in the USA and it is supposed to be a free nation. Stay out of my business. I am 70 years old and well educated in years and school but it should not matter. I do not need you telling me where I can invest my money.
I understand that a key investment vehicle that I use in management of my portfolio may be restricted by the proposed rules. I hope that I and other individual investors will not be restricted by these changes. Many of the systems and trading rules advantage big investors while small investors are unable to achieve the scale or resources to obtain these benefits.
Please don't restrict our access to such things as ETF, leverage or inverse funds by the application of further restrictions on small investors.
Dear FINRA,
My Broker, Fidelity Investments, already imposes stringent rules regarding who can invest in leveraged ETF investment products and makes me read and acknowledge the risks inherent in said investments. There is no need for further government oversight. Qualified investors should be allowed to invest in these products should they choose to do so.
To whom it may Concern,
