Blocking individual investors from using inverse or leveraged instruments actually increases risk and prevents hedging - why should Goldman Sachs be able to hedge but not Jill Mainstreet? Hedging actually decreases risk. Individual investors are not children.
It would be benefits to let everyone invest, especially the average retail traders too.
I oppose to new regulation limiting my freedom to invest in complex products and option
Please do needful to have ability to invest in pro shares
After 40+ years of investing the assets my wife and I own, I think I know what investment products We want to own! I am a VIP investor at Fidelity and buy leveraged and inverse funds. We are aware of the risks, so please don't try "save us" I am reminded of of one of the most "Terrifying" statements any American can hear!! "We're from the Goverment, and We're here to Help!!! We don't need your help in this matter!
This is yet another example in a countless list of rules for thee but not for me. Regulations like these continue to protect the upper class, while keeping the little guy down. Every American should have the same opportunities, not based upon some income threshold. If you truly care about lifting Americans up, as you say you do, you will not pass this legislation.
Dear Regulators, Why are you planning to ban inverse and leveraged funds for ordinary investors? Should the ordinary Americans' money should be dumb money going only one way on a conveyer belt but the hedge fund and Wall Street can benefit from it? This is especially in contract to allowing Ponzi schemes like bitcoin to take retirement funds money. One must be either dishonest or unintelligent to accept this contradiction as fair.
Greetings. It is my right to invest my money how I choose. I am a young person with savings that are currently withering away due to inflation. I cant afford a house either. My only option is to invest, and that is by the design of the US governments programs that cause inflation and disincentivize saving cash. So, some of my money is invested in leveraged funds, and I am doing quite well at choosing these investments. I should not have to be from a wealthy family or pass special tests to keep investing. I oppose restrictions on my right to invest.
I am an educator and will be effected tremendously if I am blocked from using triple leveraged indexes. I am a voter and perfectly capable of understanding the implications and risks that these investment tools entail. The government should not have the power over my financial investment decision making. This tool is an easy and equitable way for those of us who are not Wall Street connected to be able to swing trade, without ourselves delving into the complex options markets.
