I think some basic online information for informed consent and modest means should be sufficient for most investments. The current accredited investment limit severely restricts the ability to become an accredited investor. These limits should be much lower.
This decision represents nothing less than class warfare. This is the brutal continuation of discrimination against BIPOC and low-Income Americans. Shame on you.
If theyre public then there available to *all* of the public. This is an elitist measure that will further financially disenfranchise millions of people. This cannot pass.
This regulation is classist and assumes anyone not in possession of wealth is too stupid to understand these investments. Limiting specific investments to only high net worth individuals will only exacerbate the wealth inequality in our country and is the antithesis of what America stands for. Anyone can learn to understand all of these investments and should be able to determine for themselves whether they are willing to risk their money on them.
Dear Representative
I would like to weigh-in on the regulations being considered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), to limit the availability of individual investors investing in leveraged and inverse funds, and other like investments without strict testing and special approvals by their broker.
I believe I should have (and retain) the right to make my own investment decisions, including the freedom to invest in cryptocurrency funds such as BITO and others.
Investing in anything, including ANY security or index, has inherent risks. Using intelligent analysis, certain risks can offer excellent rewards - again, with ANY security.
This law would restrict access and block more people from even having a hope to gain wealth themselves. Its evil and shouldnt be allowed to go through.
Dear Regulators,
Please do not limit access to these funds to high-income purchasers. These funds provided much needed funding for education, retirement, and rainy day funds I rely on regardless of income level.
Thank you,
