Katie Kuehns

Senior Director, HR Business Partner

Katie Kuehns is Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner. She serves as a trusted advisor and strategic leader who partners with senior executives to align FINRA's business priorities with forward-thinking people strategies. She leads talent and leadership development initiatives, strengthens organizational culture, and leverages workforce analytics and data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and drive organizational effectiveness.

Ms. Kuehns joined FINRA in 2007 and has held various roles across Human Resources—including working with the  Business Partnering, HR Strategy and Total Rewards teams. Throughout her tenure, she has developed deep expertise in talent management, organizational design, leadership development and change management.

As a member of FINRA's senior People Solutions Leadership Team, Ms. Kuehns shapes enterprise workforce strategy, succession planning and talent priorities. She partners across the HR function to design and implement programs that elevate performance, strengthen leadership capabilities, and foster a resilient workforce. Her approach blends business insight with HR expertise to champion a culture of accountability, collaboration and purpose-driven leadership aligned with FINRA's values.

Ms. Kuehns holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Washington College and an MBA from Drexel University. She also earned a certificate in Strategic Change Management from Northwestern University Kellogg Executive Education, as well as the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications.
