I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST.
It is important to me that I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for my portfolio. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I also use levered ETFs to offset other exposures in my portfolio that cannot be reduced, e.g. exposures to DB pension benefits with incomplete inflation indexing and hence inflation risk.
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST.
This is an anti-democratic move that will only protect those who are already extremely wealthy and comfortable. Stop it. We are citizens; we can all participate in the markets how we want to.
Investors, not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for you and your family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
Please do not regulate my right to buy inverse or leveraged investments. Thank you.
Cease-and-desist.
Leverage and inverse investment products are a rational and efficient addition to many portfolios. There are sufficient disclosures to assess risks. I cant imagine these investment types are generating any legitimate concern from regulators when there are so many riskier, less scrutinized investments available in the market. Please protect markets and save taxpayers some money by firing the regulators that have time and ignorance or maliciousness to propose such an absurd restriction.
Dear Mr./Mrs.,
It would be a grave mistake to limit leveraged funds to only a select few. Such practice would simply push individuals to trade on margin in a more risky/less controlled manner. By only allowing leveraged funds for professional traders or wealthy individuals you take financial tools out of the hands of the common person. This will make it even more difficult to provide counterweight to potential malpractices of the wealthy few.
As an investor, I believe that I should be allowed to invest in products and take it upon myself to determine how best to invest my money.
