I CARE ABOUT MY FUTURE GAINS
Please do NOT restrict our right to buy, sell, or trade leveraged or inverse funds. These vehicles are important to maintaining liquidity and an orderly market.
I oppose this change in the law, it takes away freedoms, rights, and a method for investors that do not have access to other high return investing such as hedge funds the ability to see high returns.
Dear Regulators,
We, the underprivileged American public, declare and state that our lives and the lives of our heirs are not yours to play with, so BACK OFF...
It's especially important regulators hear from you in your own words. Please use the body of this email to customize your response.
These categories of investment vehicles are important for my portfolio diversity and protection. They are an important tool for helping me assess potential risk sentiment in the market and have a tendency to provide higher returns. Please do not restrict these leveraged and inverse funds.
I currently hold a couple leveraged funds and at various times in the past have held inverse funds. I also trade options. I have been trading for nearly 20 years and have a lot of experience. I never get in over my head on high-risk investments. I reserve the right to trade the funds, stocks, bonds and commodities that I deem are in my own best interest.
Is this not a free country? I should be able to choose what investments are suitable for my portfolio. Why should this investment only be reserved for a chosen few? I shouldn't have to prove myself to regulators that I am perfectly capable of making investment decisions that are in my best interest. While I've utilized these products for years, they are not my complete strategy, but a very important part of my overall investment strategy to hedge my risk exposure as well as enhancing overall performance.
I have been utilizing leveraged and inverse ETF funds for many years in my trading/investing. They have been instrumental in my ability to consistently outperform the market averages. I use them both as an investment vehicle and occasionally as a hedge against my portfolio of mutual funds, non-leveraged ETFs and stocks. To no longer have access to these products would severely and negatively impact my results. I strongly urge FINRA to maintain the status quo regarding access to these products.
I want to be able to choose the investments that are right for me and my investment strategy, which include leveraged ETF's. My investment decisions should be just that - MINE. I am a Certified Public Accountant and I understand the use of these investment vehicles. Please do not restrict the use of leveraged ETF's. Thank you.
