Upcoming June Meeting

June 2, 2026

The FINRA Board of Governors is holding its second meeting of the year this week. Items to be considered by the Board committees include the following:

  • The Audit and Risk Committee will:
    • review FINRA’s 2025 Annual Financial Report as part of the Board’s role in overseeing our financial decisions. The report, which details our finances and operations during the prior year, will be published later this month consistent with our commitment to transparency.

  • The Finance Committee will:
    • review FINRA’s GenAI strategy and investments; and
    • review FINRA's year-to-date financial performance, projections for future years, and the status of our reserves.

  • The Regulatory Policy Committee will:
    • consider proposed amendments to further promote capital formation;
    • consider a proposal to amend the Remote Inspections Pilot Program;
    • consider a proposal to clarify member firm supervisory obligations with respect to non-branch locations, including Residential Supervisory Locations, in recognition of how the member workplace operates today;
    • consider proposed amendments to increase arbitrator compensation;
    • consider several proposed revisions to FINRA’s continuing education programs; and
    • receive an update on the rule modernization proposals and requests for comment that FINRA has published as part of FINRA Forward.

More information regarding the Board’s operations, including the membership and responsibilities of its committees, is available on FINRA’s governance page. I look forward to sharing an update about our discussions shortly after the meeting.

Sincerely,

Robert W. Cook
