Anukool Rege

Senior Vice President, Data Management and Governance Office

Anukool Rege joined FINRA in March 2024 as Senior Vice President, Data Management and Governance Office (DMGO). He is a member of the Technology department’s senior leadership team and reports to Steve Randich, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Mr. Rege is responsible for guiding FINRA’s enterprise-wide data strategy, which includes overseeing the organization’s data governance and stewardship programs, enhancing data quality, and maximizing the use and protection of data. Given FINRA’s adoption of leading-edge analytics tools and detection technologies, this work is critical to FINRA’s mission of protecting investors and ensuring market integrity. 

Previously, Mr. Rege served as a Managing Vice President at Capital One, where he spearheaded data technology transformation and modernized data platforms that delivered real-time analytics with high-quality data governed thoroughly and effectively. Prior to Capital One, he was Senior Vice President of Enterprise Data Platforms at Experian, where he envisioned and drove the “data at speed and scale” strategy, founded the Data Fabric unit, and rolled out modern data platforms globally, producing significant business value. Mr. Rege was also Senior Vice President, Equities Trading Technology at Citigroup, where he transformed front-office trading platforms and trade reporting systems.

Mr. Rege has an MBA in Finance and Global Management and Strategy from Rutgers Business School, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai, Veermata Jijabai Technical Institute (VJTI).
